Hi! I’m Brooke,
and I’m the face behind OBX Little Locals. I was born and raised in Kitty Hawk, and after going to college in the mountains (go App State!), and spending a winter snowboarding on Mt. Hood with my high school sweetheart, we moved back to the east coast, got jobs, moved back home to Nags Head, started businesses, got married, got dogs (and new jobs), bought a house, spent a lot of time in and around the ocean, and eventually had twin boys in 2020.
After traveling with kids a few times, I realized that you need a totally different set of recommendations for things to do when you’ve got little ones in tow. Since we spend a lot of time going, seeing and doing in this awesome place we get to call home, I thought it could be helpful for me to share my recommendations and ideas with others: a kid-friendly OBX travel guide.
